As I moved my Foscam to another location, the red LED in the back kept blinking when I plugged in the power cord. The orignal power adapter has a built in green LED and it kept blinking when I plugged it into the Foscam. I was not able to view the Foscam. The message I got from my viewing app said "Network is unreachable".
I took the power adapter from another Foscam and plugged it into this one, since both adapters output at 5v 2 Amps. The red LED stopped blinking and was a solid red. I was able to view this Foscam once more.
I'm glad it was something minor. It would have been more costly to replace the camera than a power adapter.

I bought 4 Foscam cameras a few years back and your how to set them up videos were a god send. Then about six months ago two of my cameras stopped working.
ReplyDeleteI was about to trash them when I saw your troubleshooting video. Turns out it was the power supplies and not the cameras. Thanks for taking the time to post your how to videos. It's saved me time and now the cost of replacing two cameras. New power supplies are ordered and a whole lot cheaper to replace instead of the ameras.
Great to see this helped. Thanks for the feedback.
