Infant Optics Video Baby Monitor Unboxing & Review (HD)

**UPDATE 2/27/2012**
This does interfere with my 802.11g wifi. I found out that if I turn off the baby monitor, I bandwidth tests return roughly 15 Mb down and 15 Mb up (15/15). But when the baby monitor is turned on, my speed drops to 8/2. I've tried designating a channel. I changed it from automatic to channel 1, 6, and 11. Sometimes the speed will go up to 10/5 but it's still 8/2 most of the time.

**Original Review**
Pros:
-color monitor
-good sound quality
-no clicking
-video monitor goes to standby when camera captures no sound after 3 minutes
-auto night vision
-lithium ion battery
-digital, no interferance from other video monitors
-camera can angle downward into the crib
-lightweight
-inexpensive, $100
-can connect up to 4 cameras

Cons:
-There is a chance it will interfere with your microwave, cordless phone, or Wifi because it runs on 2.4 Ghz wireless technology
-There is no battery life indicator. I don't know how much charge is left in the battery.
-Lack's a temporary mute key. The other monitor I use, by AngelCare, comes with one and it's very handy. Sometimes it's OK to let our son cry for 2 min rather than rushing to his side.
-Lack's a remote temperature monitor. Again, the AngelCare has it. Comes in handy since my son's room is at the far side and it's colder on that side.
-If you turn off the camera, the monitoring unit beeps every minute or so. This is very annoying.
-There's no microphone sensitivity control.
